Information on how to respond to some of the most commonly used interview questions and other tips about the process that may lead to a successful interview.

2. A Winner Warts And All

Length: 1 ½ hours

Videotape presentation – motivational speaker presenting to a group of manufacturing associates on how to be a winner with imperfections at almost anything you do.

3. A Job Search Story

Length: 1 - 1 ½ hours

Videotape presentation of an individual’s journey after a job loss. An older lady acts as an angel and is assigned to assist the unemployed character through the process.

4. Behavioral Interviewing

Length: 1 ½ hours

Defining behavioral interviewing, the process and group exercise of behavioral questions with participants to respond to using “Par For The Course”, Problem, Action, & Results procedure.

Actual hands on computer training using the AWS system to locate job openings locally. NO COMPUTER EXERIENCE NEEDED.

Actual hands on introductory computer training showing customers the various software programs available for use. SCOIS walk includes doing the self-assessment and showing how the video can be used for those occupations that have the feature.

Step by step cover letter writing procedure and Winway Resume cover letter writing exercise.

Videotape “Great Expectations” and lecture presenting skills/attributes employers look for in potential news hires.

Hands on training of the Winway Resume Software program. A rough draft resume copy needed to participate.

14. *Financial Planning 101

Length: 1 ½ hours

Basic information on budgeting/opening a checking account.

15. First Impressions

Length: 1 ½ hours

Videotape presentation of various interviews portraying the positive and negative aspects of the process.

16. Getting The Job You Really Want

Length: 1 ½ hours

Interactive exercise with groups summarizing interviewing, resume writing, cover letters, employer expectations, first impressions and other information leading to getting and maintaining a successful job.

Presentation/training on entering your resume into America’s Job Bank database. A rough draft, Winway, resume on disc or “C” drive saved version of a resume is required.

20. Intro To The Internet

Length: 1 ½ hours

Hands on computer training introducing users to basic Internet surfing and how to use it to search for different job related sites and other job search related information.

21. Job Hunting Techniques, Job Search Orientation or Job Search Skills

Length: 1 ½ hours

Presentation of various key techniques used in the job search, re-employment process.

22. Job Search In Mid-Life

Length: 1 ½ hours

Information on job search techniques for Mid-life and older workers who are seeking re-employment opportunities.

23. Job Success Skills

Length: 1 ½ hours

Workshop on job keeping skills.

24. Keyboard & Mouse Tutorial

Length: 1 hour

Introductory computer based Mouse Tutorial program on basic keyboard functions and learning how to control and use the mouse.

25. Managing Stress

Length: 1 ½ hours

Video presentation on how to effectively identify and manage every day stress.

26. Mock Interviews

Length: 1-3 hours (conducted in 30 minute increments)

Individual/personal interviews for customers who want practice and feedback on their performance.

27. Pre-GED Testing

Length: 3 hours

On site testing conducted by Adult Education in Greenwood and Laurens Counties only.

28. Resume E-Mailing Procedures

Length: 1 ½ hours

Training on how to set-up and forward resumes via the Internet to potential employers.

29. Setting SMART Goals

Length: 1 ½ hours

Workshop on how to set and achieve goals in work and everyday life.

30. Starting A Small Business

Length: 1 ½ hours

Workshop on basic tools and information needed to jump start a small business.

31. Write A Killer Resume, Building A Successful Resume

Length: 1 ½ hours

Workshop on 6 basic steps to resume preparation and other dos and don’ts of resume writing. Exercise for creating a rough draft included.
